Val-Ha-Ala in Norse mythology stands for a magnificent palace, a warrior’s paradise, where they feast on the boar’s flesh, drink liquor from the udders of goat, and battled for fun, with their contemporary warriors. This definitely sounds masculine, and a place filled with too much action. Inspired by the original concept, to bring glitz to Ghaziabad’s nightlife experience two young entrepreneurs decided to set up the electric night club-Val-Ha-Ala.

The moment one steps inside, heavy Nordic influence is visible everywhere. The ambiance is totally in sync with Nordic culture. In order to bring to life the bygone Viking Era, the bar is in the shape of a Viking ship, with a dragon head protruding out. There are luxury couches spread out, if one is not into the mood to get groovy, they can easily nurse a drink in their hand, and enjoy a secluded evening, on one of the couches. The DJ can play right from metallic to country music to hip hop to our very own Bollywood.

The nightclub is all about providing the patrons a memorable time. Apart from ambiance, drinks play an important role, the mixologists should be good at preparing both mocktails and cocktails. We loved the amazing eclectic combinations offered at Val-Ha-Ala. The Watermelon Mojito is worth killing for, the key differentiator was the use of fresh watermelon juice rather than the syrups which are generally used. It has a summery taste, which will lift up the spirits, and would definitely put you in a party mode.  Another highly recommended mocktail is Virgin Colada, it is a mixture of coconut milk, fresh pineapple juice, lending it a creamy taste. If you have a sweet tongue, then this is a must-go option. The bar also offers Val-Ha-Ala Special, honestly, it never indulged my taste, the key ingredients were cranberry juice, mango, and topped with soda. Though the different kinds of experimentations were clearly reflected in the offering.

Soon it was followed by starters, chicken popcorns stole the limelight, with their tangy and crisp taste. In spite of being crunchy, the chicken retained its original softness, the finger-licking delicacy will ensure that one cannot just have one. For vegetarian lovers, a veg platter is a highly recommended option, Dahi Kebabs, Paneer Tikka, Beetroot Kabab, Soya Chaap will give a foodie a euphoric sensation.

The menu is a gourmet makeover to the existing trend and focuses on small and tantalizing bites that are authentic, simple, and fresh.

Indrapuram lacked nightclubs, the residents had to visit Delhi to get their fill. Now with Val-Ha-Ala in the vicinity, this problem is definitely addressed too. The place is further open to hosting small parties, up to 150 heads. In fact, it surely provides a nice option, if someone wants to plan a bachelor night, the place definitely ticked all the boxes.

Visit the nightclub to have your own Nordic experience in the midst of Indrapuram.
