Let’s fight Covid-19 with these products.

The 21st century has witnessed a considerable number of unique diseases caused by capable viruses. The damage inflicted by SARS, Ebola, Swine Flu, Avian Flu is properly documented. But in the current condition, the gravest threat looming on mankind is COVID 19. It is a pandemic that has forced the world to a halt, damaged economies, and a mounting number of human fatalities. Many people are predicting this is just the beginning, zoonotic infections will further increase. Due to the shrinking forests and increased human-wildlife interaction, we are witnessing a surge in zoonotic infections. This is not going to decrease in the near future.

The novelty of the virus makes COVID19 an extremely contagious disease. Its person to person transfer rate is high. But the cause of the evident alarm is the effective way in which COVID19 spreads from surface contamination. A few of the recovered patients are returning back to the hospitals with a lung infection, heart problems, and many other health issues.

There are few things which we should make a part of our daily routine, in order to fight with these zoonotic infections. I have compiled a list of products, which one needs to look into at the earliest, in order to safeguard their health.

1) Sanitizers- People are running after purchasing hand sanitizers, without understanding the fact, not all sanitizers are effective. There are two kinds of hand sanitizers- alcohol and non-alcohol-based. Without getting into much technicality, we need to remember alcohol-based sanitizers kill most of the viruses and bacteria. But the catch here is, the sanitizer needs to have 60% alcohol. The alcohol attacks and destroys the envelope protein, which is necessary for the survival of the viruses. Before purchasing the sanitizers do check the alcohol content.

2) Sterilizing Cabinet- We can sanitize our hands, clothes, body, but what about other essentials like notes, coins, mobiles, chargers, and various other things? Money is the most crucial item, as it frequently changes multiple hands. Many startups have addressed this problem, by building sterilizing cabinets. Apart from all the above-mentioned products, get a vaporising machine, which is used in common cold, to inhale vapors. Drink lots of warm liquid and if possible, make the traditional Indian Kadha and have it at home. I am sure with these precautions in place, you will not get infected by Covid-19.
