Finger Millet Laddu

As a country, we celebrate a number of festivals, Makar Sankranti is a Hindu festival, it is a harvest festival and named differently in various part of the country- Lohri in Punjab, Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Bhogal Bihu in Assam, Poush Sankranti in Bengal and Makar Sankranti in multiple states of North India. It also indicates finish of winter and arrival of spring. Deserts are prepared across the country. Get ready to celebrate Makar Sankranti with these special millet laddoos.

Ingredients:

Finger millet flour – 1 cup, sugar – 1/2 cup powdered, ghee – 3 tsp, milk – 1/4 cup, cardamom powder-1 tsp, coconut gratings and dry fruits – as required.

Preparation Method

• Roast the finger millet flour for 8-10 mins.

• Roast dry fruits in ghee,

• Heat milk and add the jaggery.

• Add all roasted ingredients together and mix well.

Shape small amounts of the mixture into laddus.
