Benefits Of Using Serums

4 410

Since time immemorial women especially are obsessed with their skin. It is no joke that Cleopatra beauty bath is still well quoted in history. Skin plays an important role in maintaining the looks of a person. Dull, lifeless skin will definitely not lend the desirable appeal to a person.

Ayurveda the traditional Indian medical system has suggested a lot of ways to take care of the skin. When we mention “skincare” in Ayurveda it means focusing on both, the food we intake and various ubtans and leps which needs to be applied to the skin. We are already aware of the normal skincare routine which comprises Cleansing +Toning +Moisturizing. But the new product which took the beauty industry by storm is Serum.

We need to understand what exactly is Serum? The formulation of serum is totally different from the regular cream and moisturizers. They do not contain heavy lubricating agents like oil, which lock the skin, and restricts the evaporation of water from the face. Serum constitutes active ingredients that target specific skincare concerns. The active ingredient is much huge in number than they are present in the regular cream.

Once I gained clarity as to the basic difference between serum and a cream, now I was looking for an organic facial serum and not that chemically induced one.  The market seems to be flooded with Vitamin C serum. Like every other user, I knew Vitamin C is good for the skin, the same should stand true for the serum. But I was in for a huge surprise.

Vitamin C serum generally contains severe chemicals like silicones. The advantage of using silicone is, it lends immediate smoothness to the skin. But it also doesn’t allow the ingredients to seep into the skin. They create a “barrier effect” thus trapping facial dirt, grime, bacteria which might lead to allergic reactions.

Thus I wanted a facial serum that was Ayurvedic and made of natural oils. The serum should easily penetrate the inner layer of the skin. After a lot of research, I came across Elixir Facial Serum from Just Herbs.  The serum comprises natural ingredients like cold-pressed oils of Rosehip, Wheatgerm, Safflower, and Moringa seeds. These are natural sources of Vitamins A, C, and E. This is the key differentiator from the existing serums which exist in the market. In order to take care of fine lines, the serum contains Indian Senna,  a botanical alternative to Hyaluronic Acid.

Due to constant late-night sittings and an increase in screen time, there was a remarkable growth in my dark circles and I was looking for a product to address this problem. Fortunately, constant use of serum added glow to my skin reducing pigmentation, fine lines, and dark circles.

Your skin stays with you forever thus take care of it wisely.

The product can be directly ordered from the website Just Herbs.

You have explained very clearly the difference between a Serum and other skin products like moisturizers. Ayurvedic products that leverage the goodness of natural ingredients are always the best. The Elixir Facial Serum that uses the goodness of oils like Rosehip, Wheatgerm, etc., sounds really promising.
