‘All Women India trip from India to Thailand’

The Western India Automobile Association in collaboration with Embarq Motorworld have announced their first ever “All Women” India to Thailand road trip. The trip will be a pioneering one with the flagging off from Guwahati, India on 20th October 2018 and ending in Bangkok, Thailand on4th November 2018.

This is the start of a new chapter for Embarq collaborating with WIAA. The purpose is to give wings to the today’s women to soar high to a greater height beyond the borders. A tribute to the strength they showcase in every sphere of life. WIAA and Embarq will bring an epic road-trip that will break all stereotypes.

Power of WIAA partnership will ensure highest standards of automotive excellence and leverage network of automobile associations throughout the route. Women may now give wings to their dreams of motoring across the world and experience freedom with the wind in their hair and it starts with India-Thailand road trip, informed by Sujal Patwardhan and Medha Joseph founders of Embarq Motorworld.

The trip starts at Guwahati, the capital city of Assam where the flag-off is scheduled for October 20, 2018. The team will cross the exotic border states of Nagaland and Manipur. The group will travel across the surreal vastness of Indian terrain while crossing the Indian border for Myanmar.

 The iconic landscapes and stunning scenery of this border crossing it truly enjoyed on a road trip. The journey will be filled with breathtaking scenes of nature completed with calm winds of joy. This spectacular drive along the Asian highway will literally be #WomenCrossingBorders.

The group will also cross the 50 iconic bridges of Myanmar and witness the grandeur of 2,000 Buddhist monuments towering over green plains in Bagan Archaeological Area. During the road trip, the participants will savour exotic local cuisine including the globally celebrated Burmese cuisine and traditional Thai recipes. After 2800 kilometres of exotic and diverse terrain the team will finally end their 15-day odyssey on 4th November.

Bookings are open until 20th August for car and bike enthusiasts who wish to join the road trip.
