I find it irritating as well as inconvenient, moreover in case of top loading even after putting everything back, there is a constant doubt of leaving something behind.

    Ideally a backpack needs to have separate compartments for putting toiletries, undergarments, laptops, passports-tickets, etc. It makes life much easier; one basically knows which compartment to open for a particular thing.

5. Padding
