1) What prompted you to write a book on such complex topic “EGO”?

Answer: My suffering had made it impossible for me to live. When I became aware, I could clearly see that the source of all psychological suffering is because of the way we perceive situations and what people say. I wrote this because I wanted to share with people that ending such suffering is possible if one can see the way the ego makes us react.

2) In one chapter, you talked about fear, in that you discussed letting go of the past, but don’t you think that our past experiences, at times act as guiding light?

Answer: Driving a car, talking, using a skill like engineering, you need the past. But when we start acting on the present situations as per the thoughts, which are always past based, we lose creativity and become mechanical. If there is a snake in the room, I don’t think what to do but act as per the present time.

3)What according to you is missing in millennial generation? What steps would you suggest, which can be incorporated into the daily routine, to lead a better life?

Answer: The millennial generation is quite oblivious to inner peace and bliss. We have gone to the moon and back but internally still majority live an insecure, anxious and a chaotic life.

Steps

a. Have self-awareness of their thoughts, feelings, intentions. This will create their own thinking and not based on what others or books say.

b. Live a life of “Order”. Eat, sleep and exercise well. Do things on time. Put proper efforts, not being greedy for success but enjoying the very working, what they have and relationships.

c. Having Courage: If they do the above, by default they will have courage. Having courage will open up the creative channels that will give them the taste of real living. Not only running after Money but enjoying it.

4)  You have given a lot of importance to consciousness, mentioning that even one can read other’s thoughts if you are conscious. How can we achieve such a level of consciousness, while living in the regular chaotic world? Is it necessary to take Sanyass to experience such a consciousness?

Answer: As said earlier The moment you start getting present to your psychological states, behaviour, speech and listening, your consciousness will start growing. The conditioned mind will automatically cease to work on its own with the presence of consciousness. You don’t need to take Sanyas, just becoming aware of your unawareness is required. It means are you reacting basis what you have learnt; religion, education, tradition or responding from present moment awareness which is intelligence. What we learn in school is information based education, just growing the intellect.

5) Any more books in the pipeline?

Answer: I am working on “Gita”, where Krishna talks about what life is all about and how one should live it.

Gist – Right from the beginning Arjuna feels that if he does not fight the war, the war won’t happen. Arjuna thinks he is the doer and that’s the cause of suffering whereas Krishna says, “war is based on other innumerable factors.” “The problem with you is that you think that you are the doer whereas all actions are happening not by you but through you by the divine.” This is what Krishna is trying to tell Arjuna that allows the actions to happen on their own and let divine take the responsibility.
