The apparent dilemma which one faces in metro life is – where and how to spend the weekend. Every weekend rushing to the mall is not a feasible option. Many times we yearn for simple places, where we are amidst nature, can relieve our childhood and do multiple activities, which tests are mental and physical stamina.

Independence Day weekend was a mad rush, malls were jam-packed and I am not a huge fan of malls, so this option was crossed from my list. Traveling to a weekend destination was next to impossible because of the packed bookings. One of my friends suggested  Warriors Village at Manesar, I was intrigued and further research on the internet helped me in zeroing down the option.

This place is spread over 15acres and is very approachable from Delhi and whole NCR. They have got a number of activities lined up for every age group. I love adventure sports, so this place was sheer bliss for me, providing me with a number of options like cliff climbing, flying fox, zip line, rope walk, tyre walk, monkey crossing etc.

At Warriors Village Farms one can experience the rural life at its best. One can find rural women in their attire making bajre ki roti on the chulahs, which will be served with finger licking lehsun ki chutney. Children can get a peep into the rural life, one can see  cooking being done on the hearth, grains being pounded and grinded, making ghee and buttermilk, Panihari Chaal (balancing water pails), charkha weaving etc.

After having a sumptuous lunch of bajre ki roti, rice kadhi, fresh salad, butter milk, we headed for a camel ride. It was fun sitting in the camel cart with a group of people, singing local songs. It reminded me of days when life was simple and pure. They have hammocks if you are tired of walking or doing adventure activities, then lie down on the hammock and enjoy the chirping of birds.

Warriors Village has an option for everyone, spend one day at the place and relive your childhood.
