Ok, so you thought, that Corbett is all about tigers and safaris. Hold your breath, there is more to it, you need to explore the options.

Travelling scene has changed a lot, Corbett is fast emerging as wellness and adventure sports destination.  The problem with most of the travelers, traveling to Corbett is, they are obsessed with tiger sighting.  Due to this strange obsession, they often miss the beauty of the forest. Corbett offers different landscapes in different seasons. One needs to have eyes to appreciate the beauty. I have seen the forest naked, then suddenly turning completely green, again changing to brown. Oh yes, I do love Corbett with its different moods.  So next time when you visit Corbett, please keep your heart open along with your eyes. Corbett is like a treasure hunting trip, where every visit will introduce you to a new animal.

This weekend, we visited Roar resort in Jim Corbett.

The resort is near Jhirna and Dhella gate. The best part, it was away from the main road, so one needs to take a kutcha path, to reach the resort.  The resort is spread in acres, this time I went to Corbett, with a mindset of enjoying the adventure sports, so safari was ticked off in the beginning.  They have a separate area for adventure sports, with multiple options like  Zorbing, Burma Bridge, Zipline, Motor Bike, Sumo Wrestling etc. Trust me, the kids will love it. Forget kids, if you want to relive your childhood, then this is the place for you. I wore Sumo suite and wrestled with next available female. Ok, I got defeated, but still, I enjoyed it. After ages, I did all kind of naughtiness. I jumped on the ball and was thrown back with equal ferocity. I tried to ride the bike like a champion, though many times the bike wala bhaiya, prevented me from banging on the wall.

Corbett is pretty near to Delhi,  one can reach there within five hours, so if you are in a mood for an adventure holiday, then this is the place for you.

The rooms were neat tidy and spacious. Services and food are also good. So, it can be safely suggested as a weekend destination.  The landscaping is good, though management is trying to work on it more, as more rooms are going to be added to the property. Currently, they have 36 rooms, all with the beautiful location.
