Review of The Grill-Crossing Republik

0 457

After the whole week drill, trying to strike a balance between professional and personal life, finally I decided to pamper myself with a nice lunch. Now, the big question was where to go for lunch? Since I live in Crossing Republic, it is an island in itself and after whole week running, you have no stamina left to visit Noida or Delhi restaurants. After much contemplation, I headed to- The Grill Restaurant.

The restaurant specialises in North Indian, Chinese and Mughlai Food, they also have fine dining and home delivery options. I went for fine dining and trust me guys, I was happy with my decision. For starter, I ordered Chicken Malai Tikka and Paneer Afghani. The fill was good, Paneer Afghani was prepared, after applying a coat of cashew nut paste. It was nicely tandoored for 10-12 minutes; as a result the paneer soaked the cashew paste , making it more soft and delicious. Though it is very heavy for one person, after eating the whole platter of Paneer Afghani, one will not be able to do justice to the main course.

Chicken Malai Tikka was yummy, it was well cooked from inside, I was bit apprehensive before placing an order for Chicken Malai Tikka, because at some places the outer core of the chicken is well roasted but it remains raw from inside. Thankfully, I never faced any such problem here.

In the main course I ordered Dum Aloo and Butter Chicken, both turned out good. I loved the way they made dum aloo, the gravy was thick and moderately spicy. One would relish the taste, even after the dish is finished. One point that I would like to put across is, that though the rates are bit on a higher end, comparing it’s competitor but then the food quality is good. One will not find that watery gravy or small meal portions, which often leave you feel cheated. I ordered quarter butter chicken and it was enough for one person. The gravy was thick and was made from a mixture of Tomato, Cashew and Cream. So the chances are by the time you finish your food, you feel like going for a nice nap.

One thing that disappointed me was the slow service. The service is really slow, and they have to work on it. I placed an order and waited for good half an hour before the first starter was served. Apart from this small glitch, rest everything is good.
